2023-2024 Registration

Registration for returning organizations (those that registered with Student Activities in 2022-2023) will open Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at noon, and consists of two parts:

  • Submission of the org’s registration profile in OrgSync, and
  • Completion of Student Org Orientation

The 2023-2024 priority registration deadline is September 1st at 5:00 pm. Student orgs that do not complete both parts of registration by the deadline will be marked as “Frozen” in OrgSync and will not show on the organization directory

Organizations that register before the first day of school will be entered for an early bird chance to win a $100 co-sponsorship. Organizations that register before the priority deadline will also be entered to win a $100 co-sponsorship. That means that organizations that register before the first day of school will have two chances to win!

Registration closes Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 5:00PM.

Preparing for Registration

Check out Get Ready for Registration to see how your org can prepare in advance, ensuring a smoother and quicker registration process. In short, update your org's portal roster in OrgSync and gather the following information before logging in to complete the registration profile:

  • Number of active members
  • UNT faculty/staff advisor name, department, phone, and UNT email
  • Names, titles, EUIDs (initials and 4 digits), and preferred email addresses of ALL officers
  • Most updated copy of your organization’s constitution with required clauses verbatim; the Sample Constitution indicates the required clauses in red text

Registration Profile Submission Tips

  • Only the current President or Primary Contact, rather than an advisor or former officer, may complete the profile.
  • To begin the profile, click the blue “Re-Register this Organization” button in the org’s portal in OrgSync.
  • Don’t see the “Re-Register this Organization” button? You may not be designated as the current President or Primary Contact on the org’s portal roster. In that case, reach out to the person who is listed as the President or Primary Contact and ask them to give you access by designating you as President or Primary Contact. If you have trouble with this, please email student.activities@unt.edu.
  • We strongly encourage you to follow the instructions in our Registration Steps (Profile) Walkthrough as you progress through the profile form; have the instructions pulled up as you progress through the profile in OrgSync.
  • Your UNT faculty/staff Advisor will need to approve your org’s profile before it is sent to Student Activities for review. After you submit, please notify your advisor, who will receive an email from “UNT Student Activities OrgSync” requesting their review.

Student Org Orientation

  • Access to the orientation course in Canvas will be available August 1st at https://unt.instructure.com/enroll/K8JBX6
  • To receive credit, at least one current officer must complete all modules and quizzes, passing with a score of at least 80%.
  • For Sport Clubs and any org or chapter associated with the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life, the officer must be the current President or Risk Management officer. For all other orgs, it can be any current officer.
  • We strongly recommend that all officers view the module videos, although only one officer is required to pass the quizzes.

Is my Organization Registered?

The organization is not considered registered until the person who submits the organization's profile in OrgSync receives an email from "UNT Student Activities OrgSync" with the subject "Your registration request for {Organization's Name} has been approved!"

After the September 1st priority deadline, organizations that appear on the organization directory on OrgSync are considered registered for 2023-2024.
